Yezidi Music has been influenced by music of other groups in Middle East. Strans, a type of songs known as distinctly of Yezidis from Sinjar have survived. Many times it is perfumed without accompaniment of musical instrument. Many strans or song in this style of music are considered classic. This form of music has become important because it help pass down Yezidi history.
